Wu Style Tai Chi

The Wu Style Tai Chi 108 large circle form is a practice that was specifically developed to enhance Qi or vital energy. As we refine the form, we learn how to rejuvenate ourselves and cultivate health and vitality. Generating and circulating Qi can alleviate psychological and physical stagnation, strengthen the immune system and enhance overall well-being.

Tai Chi is a practice of “meditation in motion”. Research has shown that contemplative practices reduce stress and anxiety while increasing clarity, self-esteem and short and long term memory.

The Tai Chi class begins with a warm-up designed to open and relax the joints and develop elasticity of the muscles, tendons and ligaments. We use Qigong exercises to coordinate breath, movement and intention.  The second part of the class is focused on learning and refining the form.
